Lorino Wedding Fun!!!

My sweet cousin Jennifer got married May 15th and the Powells had a blast!!! Here's Jennifer and her MIL (mother-in-law) on left and momma on right.

This is what happens when the camera comes out. She was in a great mood, but just has this 'look' for the camera. We were in Birmingham at the fountain.

Here's my baby at the wedding - so big!! Not sure if you can tell, but his lips are pursed and he is making this windy sound, almost like he is trying to whistle - it's his favorite thing nowadays.

Immediately after the wedding we drove to Sea Island, GA to start the Powell vacation. When I say immediately, I mean it - we changed in the car and drove through the night! Here we are getting on the elevator to leave - the wedding was so much fun!!!!

I snapped a few pictures while the Toms went to get the car...who knew my "Big City" husband from Atlanta would get turned around coming out of the parking lot across the street :)

While we wait, VJ entertains all with his dry sense of witty humor.

Help? Blog Acting Quirky?

Does my blog look weird to everyone else or is it just me? I have no clue what is wrong - I just see pictures and no text. Any suggestions?

Here are a few random pictures I have been meaning to post for quite awhile!!!

Mommy is finally getting back into shape and completed 3 5Ks 3 weeks in a row, whew! Thanks to a loving hubby, I headed out with the twins for two runs and John William for one. My favorite run was Pound the Pavement for Peter - I forgot my camera but there were literally hundreds of strollers and an amazingly flat course!!! Yeah!! Here is a pic at the finish line for the hilliest race ever (which will remain nameless) - it was miserable trying to run and push 50 pounds uphill - let's just say I did a little up hill power walking and grunting. Other than the course, it was so well planned and it was their first time....hopefully we will have a new course next year! Thanks Uncle Eddie for helping push and Aunt B for the motivation!

Not sure why, but I love this photograph. This is typical of the crazy Atlanta weather we were having in April. One day you are wearing a long sleeve shirt and corduroy pants and the next day you are wearing a sleeveless dress. Tom and Elizabeth get really confused because they can't understand why one day you wear a jacket and your are still cold and the next it is 80 degrees and playing in the water. Oh well. John Williams first time at Mighty Jumps - and he looved it! Tom is still not a fan of jumpy things, but was a great sport. We are spending lots of time working on him warming up to this and he will come around when he is ready.

Typically we don't take off all of our clothes and play in the fountain. But since JoJo cleaned it that day (accidentally left the water running for maybe a couple of hours?), why not? It's hot outside!

Check out the hair! Can you tell he does not like getting his haircut, so we avoid it?

Family Friendly = Chick Fil A!!!

I love Cathy Truitt and Chick-Fil-A!!! I usually take the kids to eat there twice a week; I have so many coupons for CFA, the kids eat for free or $2 for all three - not a bad deal! They bring the food to the table, have place mats, a clean playground and I do not need to scrub the floor after we eat! I never thought I would say this, but I can no longer eat CFA, very rarely do I overdose of food, but I have hit that point with the extremely popular chick Fil A. There is one thing on the menu I can eat and enjoy - their yogurt parfait, it is heavenly, so that is usually my treat while the kids play. Do you think this hat is too small for my hubby?

Regardless, our neighborhood CFA has family nights the first Monday of every month and they go all out! As long as your children dress up in the 'theme' they will receive a free kids meal and ice cream. Not a bad deal!!! Here are a few pictures from the cowboy and cowgirl party last month! Some of our fellow twin friends joined in the fun too! Nora and Celia were born the same week as Tom and Elizabeth.John William is always happy with food in his hand!

Is it bad that we know most of the employees there and they always great us by name??? They have the best customer service and everyone is genuinely kind and thoughtful. Can you tell I am a huge fan??...now if I could just get them to start serving Mexican food.....
