Happy Half Birthday Elizabeth and Tom!!!

I know you probably think I am crazy to celebrate 1/2 birthdays, but all kids want to celebrate their birthday at school with their teachers and classmates. I have found childhood memories of sharing mom's homemade brownies and cupcakes with my friends at school, so our tradition will be to celebrate at school on their half birthday. Here is a recap of their special day!

Getting the cupcakes ready for candles
Elizabeth had on a really cute matching sweater, but somehow that was missing Notice mom is recording her first every 'Flip' video! Tom is ready to eat!
John William - controlled excitement
Singing is over - let's eat!
I forgot to take photos of the cupcakes, but I made green ones for Tom (green is his favorite color) and pink cupcakes for Elizabeth.
The boys hanging out in the library corner of the classroom.
Papa and Mia came to Atlanta for their half birthday.
Elizabeth shows Mia a snowman she made.
Santa brought Tom a birthday plate for Christmas
...and of course Elizabeth also received a birthday plate too!
Let's sing!
blow out the candles
let's eat!!
Two posts in one and day and a video! Gosh, I am on a roll!
WARNING: This is the first time I used the new camera (thanks Santa Jo Jo for a great gift!) and realized that I left the camera on for about a minute. Regardless, watch if you want and I hope this works!

January 2010

It was a very chilly morning when we woke up to discover the power went off during the night. The interior thermostat read 58 degrees - thank goodness everyone had on their winter pjs! We layered up and went outside to see the snow! The snow was on the ground, but the blowing wind may it bitter cold! Quick photo and John William went inside to finish packing to head to JoJo and Toppy's house because they had heat and hot chocolate!
Regardless of the sun shining, it was so cold and we were only outside about 5 minutes!
Just as we finished packing the car with clothes diapers and pack n' plays - the power came on!
Have you ever seen teeth come in this order??? John William's bottom front two teeth started to come in and then a few teeth on the top starting to come in...but they were not the middle two
Here is a close-up of that gnarly, oops, I mean cute mouth!
Sometimes the teeth are not as noticeable and the bottom two are just precious
Having fun on Elizabeth's bed
