Big Moves

Tom and I are officially halfway through the pregnancy and very eager to share the news that we are having a BOY and a GIRL! We are extremely excited about our rapidly growing family, but I never thought about how difficult it would be to decorate a nursery for coeds.
As you can tell from the picture my waistline is definitely expanding and my waist is no longer in existence. I have surpassed the evil morning sickness and now have a very healthy appetite! The past two weeks I have felt flutters in my stomach, but last Tuesday, for the first time, I felt the babies move. Thankfully Tom was nearby and able to share the joy, immediately he put his hand on my belly as the babies continued to toss and turn. With each kick, reality sets in more and more - we are going to be parents and based on the movements we are feeling, they are going to be very active babies!
In addition to the moves inside my belly, we are planning our next move - Tom and I are closing on a house tomorrow! I will share more information next time, I surely do not want to jink anything now.
Love to you and your family and enjoy this incredible spring weather!

Big News - Twins

I know I am a little late to the game to provide you with the play by play action of the pregnancy....but I thought I should at least start at the beginning of our amazing pregnancy journey. After viewing two pink lines on Tom's 28th birthday, we were overcome with joy and anticipation of the next chapter of our lives. In January, Tom and I had our first ultrasound, where we were very pleasantly surprised to discover we were having twins!!!
After the we left the doctor's office we were both smiling and still shocked; we immediately called our parents and siblings. Everyone's reaction was so sweet and made the moment that much more memorable. From the "Oh, my gosh you have got to be kidding" to the "double the fun" and "you over achiever" - all were excited about the rapid expansion of our family. Tom snapped a few pictures at the house and we emailed the excited news.
Things have been quite interesting since January. As most of you know we put our first house on the market and were shocked to have the house sold in a mere four days. As we (mostly Tom, since I slept 10 hours a day) packed up our belongings and started looking for another place to call home, we realized two years has gone by so quickly. It seems like yesterday my Dad was helping us with some electrical work, Philip was working on installing new doors and Tom and I were busy remodeling a bathroom. Looking back I truly believe we worked on that house more than we relaxed, but the funny thing was the fixing and repairing was what we enjoyed so much!
Moving day came and went...and the house hunting still continued. Who knew that selling a home would be easy, just finding a replacement would be a much longer process! My ever-so-gracious in laws opened their home to Tom, me and our scale breaking / slightly overweight two labs, Andi and Grace. The past six weeks of living with Tom, JoAnn and Georgia, the family dog, has been fun for the entire family. Our dogs love all the attention and the frequent walks by the future grandparents, while Tom and I are a big fan of JoAnn's cooking and Tom's company!
While the chaos continues, I promise to strive to update the posting every two weeks. I ask that you bear with me as I work on my technology skills with adding pictures and updates - I hope I can find the spell check! Please post a message on the site or send us an email; we are doing are best to keep up with everyone and technology certainly helps!
Have a great week and we love you all!
