Baby Weight

Tom and I have been busy meeting new neighbors and adjusting to the new home! It is amazing how many young families and children are located around us; we have been overwhelmed with the tasty baked goods that have been delivered to our doorstep.

Today, we officially starting our third trimester! The time is passing by very quickly and I can tell that my body is slowing down just as fast as the pounds are being added. Normal, everyday tasks are not as easy as they used to be, but thanks to our new house phones with intercoms, I feel like I have a personal assistant on call. Regardless of where I am in the house, Tom is always accessible and ever-so-willing to bring me the items I need, just to save me from getting up and down from my current resting location; he has been amazing!

Our last doctor's visit was very rewarding, I passed the test, no diabetes for me or the twins! Each month, the highlight of our visit is seeing our little babies on the big screen, which is really just a black and white 15" ultrasound monitor. Boy Powell is extremely active and loves to be on video; he shows off by sucking his thumb, waving his hand or strutting his stuff. Girl Powell is healthy and strong; I would imagine very eager to have a little more room, since her brother is utilizing most of the space. Both babies weigh 2.1 pounds at the moment and have an incredibly strong heartbeat. We are happy with their development and anticipate the positive progress to continue.

Last weekend we attend an outdoor wedding in downtown Atlanta. We were definitely not as cute as Jill and Drew, the bride and groom, but the picture above was taken after Tom broke out the pencil-grinder on the dance floor.

You look great Christina and you don't have much longer. It will be here before you know it! I love your house and the twins room looks like it will be so cute. You will have to post pics of the nursery when it's finished!
