Hello 2008!

Alright, so I am starting the year off very slow, but finally getting around to a few quite moments to post a new message. I really hope you all enjoyed the holidays, because we sure did! The twins were utterly spoiled rotten and they are definitely too young to realize it! For all the parents out there, I highly recommend buying "The Elf on the Shelf". It is such a cute children's story and from what I hear is a fabulous holiday tradition that ensure the kids play nice during the holidays. The gist of the story is right after Thanksgiving the magic Elf flies into your home to watch how you are behave everyday, then at night the Elf flies to the North Pole to report back to Santa, about who is naughty and who is nice. Of course the twins are not old enough to appreciate the extra pairs of eyes, but as they get older it turns into a game. Every morning the elf is in a different place, within the house. My mother-in-law gave us this unique gift this year and we look forward to our elf visiting next year!

Friday night my parents came to town and we were so glad to see them! They drove over to watch the twins while Tom and I participated in the wedding festivities for our good friends - Berkeley and Edward. The entire wedding was so much and it was great getting to know their families and old friends. They have been such great friends to us and we were so honored to participate in their wedding - have fun in Maui!

Over the course of the next four weeks, the Powells will head to half a dozen doctors. During this time I will have my camera in hand to capture every smile on the scale and every funny face made to the doctor. I ask that you continue to pray for us as we start the rounds of six month appointments. In addition to us, please pray for an amazing mom, Julia, whose baby went to heave way too early for any of us to understand; my sweet Aunt that lost her sister, Elizabeth two days before Christmas and for the newlyweds.
